EDUCATION FOR CHILDREN

Children begin worshiping at 10:00 a.m. together with the rest of the congregation in the sanctuary. After the Children’s Message, children go to a 10 minute time of music and then to their Sunday morning programs.

Babies and Toddlers

Babies have a place of their own, a clean and safe environment, so parents can worship in confidence that their children are being cared for.

Nursery School Age & Pre-Kindergarten Program

“God Loves Me” : Bible stories are read from simple story books followed by supervised free-play and arts & crafts that reinforce the stories of God and God’s people.

Kindergarten, 1^st & 2^nd Grade

“Children And Worship”: This is a wonderful program that encourages children to use their five senses to experience the presence of God in their lives. Bible Stories are told using 3-D wooden figures. During the Response Time, children choose how they will “respond to the story” each Sunday. They can choose to create their responses in drawings, paintings or sometimes in sculpture, or they can retell the actual story using the figures. They can read books about the story or put together puzzles if they choose. All songs are sung and signed using American Sign Language.

 3^rd & 4^th Grade

“Following Jesus”: This is Children And Worship for older children.

 5^th Grade through High School

Programs are engaging and meet the needs of children and youth in age appropriate ways. How faith and life come together in practical ways is central to each lesson.
